Afghanistan-Pakistan talks end in Istanbul; Islamic Emirate: The only solution is diplomacy and understanding
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced that several days of talks with the Pakistani delegation, mediated by Turkey and Qatar in Istanbul, have ended and the two sides have agreed to continue the process of talks. The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate stressed that Kabul is committed to relations based on mutual respect and non-interference and that problems can only be resolved through diplomacy.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Kabul: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced on Tuesday evening that the new round of talks with Pakistan, at the request and mediation of the Turkish and Qatari governments, ended after a few days in Istanbul.
 
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said in a statement that the talks were held in a diplomatic atmosphere and showed that both sides were willing to resolve differences through understanding.
 
"The emirate has believed in diplomacy and resolving issues through dialogue from the beginning," Mujahid said, referring to the official position of the Islamic Emirate. Therefore, a comprehensive and professional team was appointed for the negotiations and the process of negotiations was followed with honesty and seriousness.”
 
Adhere to positive relations with Pakistan
The statement said that the Islamic Emirate wants good relations with other neighboring countries, as well as positive relations with Pakistan, based on mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs.
 
"Afghanistan does not pose a threat to anyone and expects others not to interfere in its internal affairs," Mujahid stressed.
 
Continue negotiations in the future
The talks, which the Islamic Emirate said had a "complex process", ended with an agreement to continue the talks so that the remaining issues could be discussed at the next meetings.
 
The Islamic Emirate thanked the governments of Turkey and Qatar for facilitating and mediating these talks.
 
 
 
Unofficial sources say the main focus of the talks was border security issues, migrant movement, and the management of accusations from both sides.
 
Pakistan had recently increased political and media pressure against Kabul and made claims about the activities of anti-Pakistan groups in Afghanistan; Claims that the Islamic Emirate has repeatedly denied.
 
Experts believe that the continuation of these talks could play an important role in easing diplomatic tensions between the two countries, especially in the field of trade and border traffic.
