Hezbollah Secretary General: "Resistance is the country
Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, said at the opening ceremony of the local market "Souk Ardzi" in the southern suburbs of Beirut that resistance is the main factor in preserving the land and sovereignty, and did not consider America a neutral mediator and called it a supporter of the aggressor Zionist regime.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, at the opening ceremony of the local market for agricultural products, food and handicrafts called "Souk Ardzi" in the Sayed Al-Shuhada complex in the southern suburbs of Beirut, referring to the situation on the front lines, said that those who resist will reclaim their land and territory from the occupiers.

He added that the owners of olive trees in the border areas are "true supporters of sovereignty" and that preserving the land and agricultural products is a public duty.

Qassem lamented the government’s lack of sufficient support for the agricultural sector and called for more supportive measures to develop domestic production. He pointed to the role of local foundations in strengthening economic self-reliance and recalled that the agricultural and industrial jihad must be strengthened so that we are not vulnerable to pressures and sanctions.

The Hezbollah Secretary-General said that the United States claims to be acting to solve Lebanon’s problems, but “America is not a neutral mediator; rather, it is a defender and supporter of the Zionist aggressor regime.” He added that whenever a visit by a representative from the United States is announced, attacks on Lebanon intensify, indicating Washington’s support for aggression. Qassem asked what the US position was on the thousands of Israeli aggressions, saying that Washington has “done nothing good for Lebanon so far.”

He stressed the need for national unity and strengthening the positions of the three heads of state to support the army and protect sovereignty, saying that the goal of the resistance is to liberate the homeland, while the enemy’s goal is occupation. Qassem added that Hezbollah does not take orders from anyone and called for strengthening its defense and economic capacities to confront threats.

International reports and regional news networks indicate that Qassem clarified in his recent remarks that Hezbollah does not intend to provoke a new war with Israel but is fully prepared for defense; he also emphasized the continuation of the resistance and the preservation of the group's weapons.

Chinese news media and some regional news agencies have covered Qassem's remarks in the context of criticizing foreign interventions and reflecting the intensification of attacks during periods when American officials or their representatives travel to the region.

According to those familiar with the matter, Sheikh Naim Qassem's remarks have a dual message: on the one hand, emphasizing local economic and cultural aspects (supporting agriculture and domestic production) and on the other hand, strengthening the military-political capacity of the resistance as a lever of pressure against the enemy and foreign actors. Studies show that the recent statements are both a response to external pressures and an attempt to maintain internal consensus among forces allied with Hezbollah. According to experts, if the government and official institutions fail to implement economic support plans and national cohesion plans in practice, the risk of increasing political and social tension within the country and strengthening non-governmental powers in the security field will increase.
