Obama Calls for Confrontation with Trump Administration
Former US President Barack Obama criticized Donald Trump in new statements and warned that his policies have led America into a "state of darkness."
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Barack Obama, who attended election rallies in support of Democratic governors, called on Democratic Party supporters to stand up to Trump's "lawlessness" by participating in local elections.

The former US president emphasized: "Our country and its policies are in a state of darkness. It's hard to know where to begin, because every day this White House presents the people with a new batch of lawlessness, recklessness, narrow-mindedness and even madness."

Obama also lashed out at Trump's "messy" tariff policies and the deployment of the National Guard to US cities, and blamed Republicans in Congress for "silence and inaction in the face of Trump's out-of-the-box behavior."

He said he was surprised that business leaders, law firms and universities had quickly "kneeled" to Trump.

At a campaign rally in New Jersey, in the midst of the US Halloween celebrations, Obama quipped: "It's like every day is Halloween for the White House these days, except without the candy and just full of scary jokes!"

The American politician mocked Trump's decisions to renovate parts of the White House, including a bathroom, even during a government shutdown, saying: "Of course, to be fair, he's focused on some vital issues, like paving the Rose Garden so no one gets muddy, or building a $300 million ballroom!"

Before Obama, Kamala Harris, another Democrat and Trump's opponent in last year's election, had strongly criticized the silence of the country's officials in the face of the US president's illegal behavior and called for confronting him.

Trump's actions have also given voice to the people of this country. They have participated in protest rallies many times since the beginning of Trump's second term.

In one of their latest actions on October 18, Americans recorded an unprecedented attendance of 7 million people by participating in the massive "No to the King" demonstrations in all US states.
