Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Israeli network "I24" reported today (Sunday, November 2) citing the Iraqi base "Baghdad Al-Youm" that the intelligence service of the Popular Mobilization Forces has arrested four Syrians from the Jabal Al-Arab region on charges of spying for Israel.
According to the source, at the time of the arrest, maps and images of sensitive security areas in the holy cities of Shiites, including the cities of Najaf and Diwaniyah, were discovered from the suspects.
Iraqi authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the details of the arrest, but reports indicate that investigations are continuing to investigate the detainees' possible connection to spy networks in the region.
