Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: On the eve of "13 Aban, the National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance and Student Day" in Iran, Imam Khamenei hosted thousands of students and families of the martyrs of the 12-day imposed war on Monday morning at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyeh. In this meeting, he called the anniversary of the seizure of the US embassy in Tehran on November 3, 1979, a day of "honor and victory" and the clarification of the true identity of the arrogant US government, and emphasized the recording of this day in the national memory.
Explaining the history of US hostility towards the Iranian nation from the coup of August 19, 1953 to the present, he stated that the difference between the Islamic Republic and the US is an inherent difference resulting from a conflict of interests. Imam Khamenei (maybe) said: "If America cuts off its support for the Zionist regime, withdraws its military bases from the region, and stops interfering in regional affairs, a request for cooperation with Iran may be considered in the distant future, but not in the near future."
Referring to the incident of the seizure of the US embassy in Tehran, he considered it important from two historical and identity perspectives, and emphasized that this action revealed the true nature of the Islamic Revolution and the fascist face of America. Imam Khamenei (may Allah have mercy on him) also referred to historical events such as the cancellation of the tobacco contract and the struggles of the late Ayatollah Modarres in Iran, and called for the study and analysis of these events by the youth of this country.
Referring to the history of American arrogance, from the August 18 coup against Assad in Iran to supporting the Pahlavi regime, he emphasized that America’s hostility to the Iranian nation is deep-rooted and continuous, and that the slogan “Death to America” is a result of this historical reality, not its cause.
Referring to the statements of some individuals in Iran about the possibility of relations with America, Imam Khamenei (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “America’s arrogant nature accepts nothing but surrender. The current US president has clearly stated this fact.”
He considered the solution to the problems of the Islamic Republic of Iran to be strengthening, and added: “The government, the armed forces, and the youth must act with strength in the areas of management, science, military, and motivation so that the country remains immune to threats.”
In the final part of his speech, Imam Khamenei (may Allah have mercy on him) advised the youth to increase their knowledge, familiarize themselves with the Quran, maintain the hijab, perform the desired prayers, and have a heartfelt connection with God. He said: “In these troubled times, a youth who is strong in terms of religion and belief can stand against the pharaohs of the time.”
He also emphasized, referring to the military advances of the Islamic Republic of Iran, that “the Iranian nation is a strong nation and no power can bring it to its knees.”
The capture of the spy den refers to the capture of the US embassy in Iran by students following the Imam’s (may Allah have mercy on him) line on November 13, 1979, which was carried out in protest of the US accepting Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (the deposed Shah of Iran). Imam Khomeini (may Allah have mercy on him) called this action the second revolution and called America the Great Satan and called that country’s embassy a spy den.
