Herzog: Internal divisions have brought Israel to the brink of collapse
Zionist President Isaac Herzog, expressing concern about the escalation of tensions and political violence among the settlers, warned that internal divisions have put Israel on the brink of collapse and have confronted the foundations of the regime with a strategic threat.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Herzog, speaking on Monday evening (November 3) at the ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the assassination of the regime's former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin on Mount Herzl, warned of deepening internal divisions and the spread of political violence, saying that there are worrying signs of a return of an atmosphere of hatred and incitement to the settler community and that Israel is "on the brink of a precipice."

According to Herzog, Rabin's assassination three decades ago was an attempt to collapse Israel and weaken the unity of society, but the same signs are being repeated with greater intensity today. He emphasized that the continuation of this trend is a strategic threat to the Zionist regime.

Referring to the increase in tensions and harsh tone in the public sphere, the Israeli president said that after thirty years, "poisonous language, accusations of betrayal and the spread of hatred in the streets and cyberspace" continue. He emphasized that if society does not learn from these experiences, it means that it has learned nothing.

Herzog added that signs of violence are observed in various forms, including against cabinet employees, army and security commanders, and even elected officials and ministers.

Referring to threats against the regime's Prime Minister "Benjamin Netanyahu" and verbal attacks on members of parliament from various political spectrums, he said that this dangerous trend could disintegrate the foundations of Israel from within.
