Guterres stressed the need to punish perpetrators of war crimes and immediately end the fighting in Sudan
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, expressing concern about the continuation of the fighting in Sudan, called for urgent dialogue between the conflicting parties and the punishment of perpetrators of war crimes in the country.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stressed the need to punish perpetrators of war crimes in Sudan in a speech today (Tuesday, November 4).

Guterres said at a press conference on the sidelines of the "World Summit for Social Development" in Qatar: "We must ensure that perpetrators of crimes in Sudan do not go unpunished."

According to Al Jazeera, he also called on the Sudanese armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces to cooperate with the UN Special Envoy to reach an agreement.

The UN Secretary-General, while emphasizing the immediate cessation of hostilities in Sudan, added: "The Sudanese parties must enter into negotiations to reach a political agreement."
