Condolences from the Head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society to the Earthquake Victims in the North of the Country
In a message to the Head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, the Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed sympathy for the victims and injured in the recent earthquake in Balkh and Samangan provinces and announced that Iran is ready to dispatch relief teams and humanitarian aid to the affected areas.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Iranian Red Crescent Society has announced that this organization is ready to dispatch relief operations forces and deliver humanitarian aid to the earthquake victims in the north of the country.

In a message from Dr. Pirhossein Kolivand, head of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to Sheikh Al-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, head of the Red Crescent Society of Afghanistan, it is stated:

“The Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran expresses its respect to Your Excellency, the staff and volunteers of the Red Crescent Society of Afghanistan.

We learned with great sadness about the occurrence of a massive earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale in northern Afghanistan and near the provinces of Balkh and Samangan, which, in addition to damage to infrastructure, has resulted in the loss of a number of lives and the injury of hundreds of people.

The Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while expressing its sincere sympathy to the families of the deceased and injured, announces its readiness for any kind of humanitarian cooperation, including the dispatch of relief and medical teams.
