Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to the "Sadi News" news site, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is scheduled to travel to the United States on November 18 to meet and talk with President Donald Trump.
Bin Salman's visit to Washington will take place as Trump is trying to encourage Saudi Arabia to join the compromise agreement with the Zionist regime, known as the "Abraham Accords." This compromise agreement was signed in 2020 between the Zionist regime and the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco to normalize relations with this regime. Saudi Arabia is hesitant to join the agreement because no practical steps have been taken to establish an independent Palestinian state.
But Trump claimed in an interview with CBS's "60 Minutes" that the Saudis will eventually join the Abraham Accords.
According to news sources, a defense agreement between the United States and Saudi Arabia will be one of the topics discussed during the meeting between bin Salman and Trump.
A senior US government official told Reuters: "A study is underway to reach an agreement on a major issue when bin Salman is in the White House, but the details of this issue are still being reviewed and changed."
According to the report, the Saudis are trying to receive formal US guarantees for Saudi Arabia's defense and also to purchase advanced US weapons. Saudi Arabia is one of the largest customers of US weapons and the two countries have had strong relations for decades, under which Saudi Arabia exports oil to the US and Washington maintains Saudi Arabia's security.
