Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to Rossiya El Youm, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said in a television interview in response to the increasing US threats against the country: "We are in daily contact with the Russian government on all issues."
He added: "Our relationship with Russia covers all major areas, from industry and technology to the economy and military issues. This cooperation is based on respect and mutual benefits."
Maduro emphasized: "Russia is a great world power and at the same time can establish respectful relations with countries, including Venezuela."
Regarding the statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry that Moscow is ready to respond to Caracas' requests in light of the current threats, he said: "This is true." This is how it should be: peace, trust, and brotherhood.
