Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Limor Son-Har Milech, an Israeli Knesset member from the Itzma Yehudit party, stated in an interview with the Ynet news website that the claim that Israel has become a US “protectorate” indicates the loss of part of the regime’s political independence.
He said: “I look at the issue of the US president from a different perspective and believe that we have often abandoned our interests in an attempt to appear as part of America. I did not attend the inauguration celebrations of US President Donald Trump and was not present at that ceremony in the Knesset. I am very concerned about this situation in which Israel is losing its sovereignty.
Regarding the law on the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners, introduced by the occupation regime's Minister of Internal Security, Itamar Ben-Governor, the Knesset member stated that the law was "very clear and unambiguous" and stressed his full support for it.
When asked if the law would also include Jews, he replied: "If there are such people, the answer is yes. Anyone who harms Israel or denies it as the homeland of the Jewish people must be held accountable. There is no such thing as a Jewish terrorist, but if someone fits this description, the law will apply to them without exception."
He stressed that Israel must regain its sovereignty and independence in political decision-making and not allow any foreign party, no matter how close it is to it, to impose its views or priorities on Israel at the expense of its domestic interests.
