Six Afghan citizens killed in coal mine explosion in Tajikistan
Media reports say that six Afghan citizens have lost their lives following an explosion in a coal mine located in the Aini district of Sughd province, Tajikistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - It was reported that the incident occurred on Sunday, November 2, and according to initial information, five of the victims were from the Shahran, Miramur and Ashtarali districts of Daikundi province, and another person was reported from Bamyan province.

Informed sources have attributed the incident to the negligence of mining officials and the use of substandard methods in the mining process.

According to reports, the bodies of the victims have been crossed the border and are to be handed over to their families in Afghanistan.

Hundreds of Afghan citizens are said to be working in Tajikistan's coal mines. Workers say harsh working conditions and a lack of safety equipment have made fatal accidents a recurring occurrence.

Tajik officials have not yet commented on the matter.
