Vahid Shamsai, head coach of the Islamic Republic of Iran's national futsal team, warned about the upcoming critical match against Afghanistan after a 2-2 draw against Morocco in the group stage of the Islamic Solidarity Games, describing it as a difficult and key competition in the preparation for the Asian Cup.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Sports Service: Shamsai said in an interview with reporters: "The two top teams in the world, Iran and Morocco, played a beautiful and high-quality game. We should have been more careful in the final moments. I am completely satisfied with the performance of the children. Nothing is more sacred than the flag of our country and we will work for it until the last moment."
Regarding Iran's next match against Afghanistan, Shamsai said: "The coach of Afghanistan is one of our friends and their players also play in the Iranian league. It is a difficult game. This team is one of our competitors in the Asian Cup and we are also in the same group in Riyadh.”
Referring to some problems beyond the control of the Iranian team, he said: “The reality is that we are not strong enough to solve a number of problems and there is nothing we can do about it.”
The head coach of the Iranian national futsal team also criticized the referee’s performance and said: “The ball went into the player’s hand in front of the referee’s eyes and he didn’t see it. This is part of the game, but it doesn’t matter anymore.”
Shamsai described the Moroccan team as a strong team: “Morocco is great; they have great players and a great coach. Despite their strength, they were defeated by the efforts of our kids today.”
The Iranian national futsal team will face our national team on Thursday at 3 p.m. Tajikistan is also another team in this group.
