Zahran Mamdani
Zahran Mamdani, by winning the most votes in the New York mayoral election, was elected as the city's first Muslim and Shiite mayor; an event that observers consider an unprecedented defeat for Donald Trump.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Zahran Mamdani, a Democratic politician, is the first Muslim and Shiite person to win the New York mayoral election.

Zahran Mamdani, in the municipal elections in New York, was able to win the maximum number of votes and be elected as the city's first Muslim (Shiite) mayor.

The victory of this controversial figure comes at a time when Trump, by turning his back on the Republican candidate and supporting an independent candidate who had a better chance of winning, was trying to prevent Mamdani's victory at all costs.

According to political observers, Mamdani's victory is more of a crushing defeat for Donald Trump than anything else.

Zahran Mamdani had previously become famous for his pledge to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he entered New York.

While hundreds of thousands of New York City Jews plan to vote for different candidates in the New York mayoral election today, Trump insulted the decision of a section of Jews to vote for one of the candidates.

Yesterday, Donald Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social, referring to the New York mayoral election: "Any Jew who votes for Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate, is nothing more than a fool."

Trump called Mamdani a "proven and self-proclaimed enemy of the Jews," while Mamdani only criticized what he called "the Zionist regime's genocide in Gaza" and announced that he would issue an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visited New York.
