Russian President Vladimir Putin, emphasizing the defensive nature of his country's military programs, said that Moscow is not a threat to any other country and is acting solely within the framework of developing its deterrent capabilities.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized yesterday (Tuesday) evening at a ceremony to award the Medal of Honor to those involved in the Russian missile program that Moscow is not a threat to any other country.

According to Sputnik News Agency, Putin said: "Like all nuclear powers in the world, Russia is developing its capabilities, but it does not threaten any country."

Referring to the extensive progress in Russia's military industries, he stated: "All of Moscow's programs for developing the defense industry are being implemented, and the Borostnik and Poseidon missiles are produced using domestic materials."

The Russian president went on to mention the mass production of the Oreshnik ballistic missile, adding: “The Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile will enter combat service next year.”

According to Putin, “Russia’s Borostnik missiles have a longer range than any other missile system in the world, and Russia has equipped its intercontinental ballistic missiles and submarine-launched ballistic missiles with modern defense systems.”

He also revealed that “a NATO reconnaissance ship was permanently stationed at the Borostnik missile test site.”
