Lebanon's response to Trump envoy's interventions on relations with Israel

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to Rossiya El Youm, Lebanese Defense Minister Michel Mansi, in response to Trump's envoy's remarks on establishing communication and contact between the Lebanese President and the Israeli Prime Minister, emphasized that this issue is not at all an issue.

 

He added that the so-called mechanism committee established to implement and monitor the ceasefire agreement is moving towards playing a role in indirect negotiations with Tel Aviv with the aim of establishing security and stability on Lebanon's southern borders.
 

Mansi stated that the first stage of the plan to monopolize weapons in the hands of the Lebanese government in the area south of the Litani River up to the borders will be implemented and is expected to be completed before the end of the year.

 

Regarding the Israeli aggression, he said that the Lebanese army is committed to defending the country's sovereignty and its military capabilities must be supported.
