Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to reports, only 4,453 vehicles carrying humanitarian aid have entered Gaza since the ceasefire began.
This is while, according to the agreements, 15,600 vehicles were expected to enter; meaning less than 28% of the expected amount has been achieved.
According to Hamas officials, the Israeli army is not allowing the entry of essential goods such as meat, oil, vegetables and fresh food.
In contrast, goods such as carbonated drinks, chocolate, chips and processed foods are allowed to enter; items that have little nutritional value.
Due to Israel’s complete control over the supply chain, these goods enter the Gaza market at prices more than 15 times their actual value.
This situation has left displaced and impoverished families in Gaza with limited access to even the most basic items.
The report follows warnings from international organizations about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Aid organizations have repeatedly stated that the continued blockade and the denial of aid have put the lives of thousands of children and civilians at risk.
