Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: In an unprecedented move, more than 100 officers and reservists of the Israeli army have sent an official letter to Major General Eyal Zamir, the chief of staff of the regime's army, protesting inhumane behavior and violations of ethical principles in military operations in Gaza, Lebanon and the West Bank.
The signatories of the letter, who include senior officers up to the level of deputy division commander, spoke of the collapse of discipline and values in the Israeli army.
The letter states: "Incidents have occurred that are inconsistent with the army's training principles, including the "purity of weapons" - that is, avoiding harm to civilians."
They have stressed that these behaviors have not only weakened the morale of the troops, but also reduced military efficiency.
The officers have called for an internal investigation and the restoration of discipline in the army after the end of the war, and have expressed their readiness to cooperate in this process.
The Kan network reported that the army censorship department only allowed the publication of the general outline of the letter, and no further details have been released.
However, Israeli media outlets such as Haaretz and the Times of Israel have covered the revelation, sparking discussions about the need for internal reforms in the army.
The IDF General Staff has not yet issued an official response, but informed sources have reported that the matter is being investigated.
Previous Israeli military revelations
This is not the first time that the Israeli military has revealed military crimes against Palestinians:
In June 2025, several soldiers revealed in an interview with the Haaretz newspaper that superior officers had ordered them to shoot at Palestinians who were going to distribution centers to receive aid.
In March 2025, an Israeli soldier stated in an interview with CBS News that he had received orders to use Palestinian civilians as human shields and force them into suspicious buildings to check for booby traps.
The revelations indicate a moral and disciplinary crisis in the Israeli military and a clear violation of international humanitarian law during recent wars.
