Israel’s Construction of Concrete Wall Deep in Lebanese Territory; Crossing the Blue Line and a Clear Violation of the Ceasefire
In the media silence and at the same time as Israel’s airstrikes on southern Lebanon have increased, images of the construction of a concrete wall deep in Lebanese territory have been published. This wall crosses the Blue Line and continues near border towns such as Maroun al-Ras and Eytron.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Media sources report that Israeli forces are building a huge wall two kilometers deep in Lebanese territory. This wall is located behind the “Blue Line” and on the border opposite the towns of Maroun al-Ras and Eytron.

The Hebrew newspaper “Yediot Aharonot” wrote that this concrete wall is being built behind the Blue Line and opposite Maroun al-Ras and is probably part of the five “strategic positions” that Israel insists on occupying in Lebanese territory after the ceasefire.

The images show Israeli forces building the wall along the border with Lebanon, which extends beyond the UN-drawn blue line and is located opposite the settlement of Afifim in northern occupied Palestine.

Part of the wall is located between one and two kilometers into Lebanese territory and near one of five strategic positions that remain under the control of the Israeli army despite Israel’s obligation to withdraw under the 2024 ceasefire agreement.

The reports come as tensions in the region have increased and the Israeli army has intensified its airstrikes in recent weeks against targets it considers to be affiliated with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

Israeli media claimed on Monday that the regime’s army has carried out a series of operations against Lebanese Hezbollah since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on the northern front, during which some 350 fighters and field commanders have been targeted.

The reports indicate that the operations have included precision drone strikes, airstrikes, and intelligence-gathering operations targeting Hezbollah positions and movements near the Lebanese-Israeli border.

Israel’s repeated ceasefire violations have raised concerns about the possibility of a wider resumption of military clashes in southern Lebanon.
