Mullah Baradar: Without strong guarantees, trade routes with Pakistan will not be opened / Trade through alternative routes should be implemented as soon as possible
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, said in a meeting with the country's traders and industrialists that if Pakistan wants to open trade routes with Afghanistan, it must give strong and solid guarantees that they will not be closed again under any circumstances. At the same time, he directed the industrialists and traders to implement trade through alternative routes to Pakistan as soon as possible.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, emphasized in a meeting with the country's traders and industrialists that these routes will be opened if it is guaranteed that they will not be closed again under any circumstances, whether in a state of war or normal.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs stated in this meeting that traders and industrialists who have contracts with Pakistan have three months to settle their accounts.

He added: “Since Pakistan has always blocked trade routes during fruit seasons and the imported goods from this country are of poor quality, there is a need for the country’s exports and imports to be carried out through alternative routes.”

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, directed the country’s traders and industrialists to choose alternative routes to trade with Pakistan.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs emphasized that this measure should be implemented as soon as possible.

According to Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Islamic Emirate has taken this decision due to the blocking of trade routes and the political use of trade issues by Pakistan, which has always harmed Afghan traders.

Meanwhile, Nooruddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate, told Pakistani officials in this meeting that without a definite guarantee for the opening of the routes, no trade with Afghanistan will be possible.

Mr. Azizi added: “If there is a complete guarantee for the opening of the routes, trade will be established; "If there is brotherhood and equality, trade will continue; but otherwise, we have no compulsion."

At the same time, the Minister of Industry and Commerce emphasized that Afghanistan has hundreds of alternative routes for trade other than Pakistan.
