Al-Julani contradicts his previous statements; from denial to confirmation of negotiations with Israel
The interim president of Syria, who had previously denied any contact with the Zionist regime, this time admitted that the group under his command entered into negotiations directly with the Zionist regime and announced significant progress in these talks.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Abu Muhammad Al-Jolani" made contradictory statements about negotiations with the Zionist regime in the space of 24 hours.

Al-Jolani, who had previously claimed that he would not negotiate directly with the Zionist regime, said on Wednesday morning: "We are negotiating directly with Israel and have made significant progress towards reaching an agreement."

In an interview with the Washington Post, he stated: "Israel's advances in Syria are not due to security concerns, but rather due to its expansionist ambitions."

The head of the Syrian interim government continued: “Israel must withdraw to the December 8 borders until an agreement is reached with Syria.”

Al-Jolani went on to say: “Discussing the creation of a demilitarized zone in southern Syria will be difficult because some parties may use this area as a launching pad for attacks on Israel.”

He also added: “Syria shares strategic interests with Russia and needs its support in the UN Security Council.”
