Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on Thursday morning for the alleged ceasefire in the region to be maintained, continuing his futile statements and astonishing inaction over the genocide in Gaza.
Guterres said in a statement: “The Gaza ceasefire must be respected and pave the way for negotiations on the second phase of the agreement.”
Al Jazeera quoted him as saying: “The Gaza ceasefire is being violated continuously, but it is resilient.”
He further explained: “We hope that the Gaza agreement will pave the way for the Palestinians to exercise their right to self-determination and establish their own independent state.”
The UN Secretary-General also added: “We are concerned about the safety and security of UN aid workers in conflict areas.”
