Julani
In a clear change from his previous position, Syrian interim President Abu Muhammad Julani announced that his government is conducting direct negotiations with the Zionist regime and that these negotiations have reached a stage of progress.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Abu Muhammad Julani", who has taken over the government in Damascus, made contradictory statements in the space of 24 hours about negotiations with the Zionist regime.

Julani, who had previously claimed that he would not negotiate directly with the Zionist regime, said: "We are negotiating directly with Israel and we have made significant progress towards reaching an agreement."

In an interview with the "Washington Post", he stated: "Israel's advances in Syria are not due to security concerns, but rather to its expansionist ambitions."

The Syrian interim president continued: “Israel must withdraw to the December 8 borders until an agreement is reached with Syria.”

Al-Julani went on to say: “Discussing the creation of a demilitarized zone in southern Syria will be difficult because some parties may use this area as a launching pad for attacks on Israel.”

He also added: “Syria shares strategic interests with Russia and needs its support in the UN Security Council.”
