Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to a press release published today (Thursday, November 13) by the press office of the Ministry of Information and Culture, in this meeting the two sides discussed and exchanged views on expanding cultural, scientific and religious cooperation between the two countries.
Ansari Yeni Türk considered this meeting a sign of the common determination and will of the two brotherly countries to strengthen and develop cultural, scientific and religious relations.
He emphasized that relations between Afghanistan and Turkey are based on noble Islamic values and deep historical, cultural and religious commonalities.
In addition, Qari Hamidullah Tamkin, while appreciating the cooperation of the Republic of Turkey in the scientific and educational fields, held comprehensive discussions and exchanges of views on issues such as accepting Afghan students in religious and Islamic sciences at various levels from bachelor's to doctorate, attracting Afghan students from Darul Ulooms and grades 9 to 12, and providing opportunities for graduates of the Islamic sciences to continue their studies in the specialization course (Fi-Fiqh).
Mr. Ansari Yeni Türk, expressing his satisfaction with the continuation of bilateral cooperation, assured that the General Directorate of Religious Affairs of Turkey is ready for any assistance and cooperation in the scientific, cultural and religious fields with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
He added that the quota of scholarships for Afghan students in religious and Islamic sciences at various levels from bachelor's to doctorate will be increased, and the opportunity will also be provided to accept students from Darul Ulooms from grades 9 to 12 and novice memorizers of the Holy Quran.
Ansari stated in another part of his speech that the International Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition is held annually in Turkey with the participation of representatives of Islamic countries. In this regard, two official invitations will be sent to the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate in Ankara to introduce two qualified memorizers to participate in these competitions.
He also announced the readiness of the Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs to invite ten prominent Afghan scholars to attend scientific conferences and exchange sessions.
At the end of this meeting, Ansari Yeni Türk emphasized that the Republic of Turkey has always stood by the people and government of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and emphasizes continued support and cooperation in various fields.
