UNICEF supports health workers to manage child malnutrition in Afghanistan
The European Union Humanitarian Aid Program says that the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is supporting health workers to manage child malnutrition with a grant from "ECHO-ASIA".
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The European Union Humanitarian Aid Program added in a message today (Thursday, November 13) that health workers will care for malnourished children in their homes.

Under the program, UNICEF will train health workers to manage malnutrition in a timely manner through outpatient care and prevent unnecessary hospitalizations.

UNICEF had previously said that it had established 70 "Child Development Centers" in Afghanistan.

The organization also stated that most families in Afghanistan, especially in mountainous areas such as Bamyan, do not have access to diverse and nutritious foods.
