Ministry of Public Works Delegation Participates in International Transport and Logistics Forum and Exhibition in Uzbekistan

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Public Works issued a press release today (Saturday, November 15) saying that Maulvi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada met separately with the delegation of the United Arab Emirates Railways, the Deputy Director of the Kazakh Railways, the Director and First Deputy Director of the Uzbekistan Railways, and representatives of the countries involved in the Afghan-Trans project on the sidelines of the exhibition.

During these meetings, the parties discussed the construction of the Herat-Kandahar railway and the start of its practical work, discounts on transit prices for Afghan commercial goods from China and vice versa via Kazakhstan, the start of technical and economic studies of the Afghan-Trans project, the creation of facilities and discounts for the transfer of commercial goods via the Uzbekistan railway, and the provision of more facilities for traders.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, the parties also emphasized continued cooperation in the construction of transport infrastructure and increasing transfers via the railway.
