Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Hassan Hadi Zayer, a member of the media team of the Iraqi Election Commission, told Al-Furat Network that all 102 complaints related to yesterday's general and special voting were resolved, and the electronic and paper information on the ballots matched 100 percent.
Zayer added that the final results of the parliamentary elections will be announced today (Monday, November 16).
He said that there are specific time frames for announcing the results and the process for submitting appeals, in which, immediately after the announcement of the results, appeals can be filed for three days. These applications are then reviewed by the commissioner for seven days and then submitted to the electoral judiciary, which will also review them, and finally, after ten days, the names are sent to the federal court for final approval.
Zaire concluded by emphasizing that there may be changes in the seats related to the women's quota, however, the overall results are clear and no major issues have been recorded.
According to the announcement of the initial and official results of the Iraqi parliamentary elections, out of a total of 329 seats, Shiite movements won the majority with 187 seats, while Sunni parties with 77 seats and Kurds with 56 seats are in a position to bargain for future coalitions.
The Iraqi Independent High Election Commission announced the percentage of participation in the parliamentary elections at 56 percent, this figure indicates a significant increase in participation compared to the previous period (41 percent).
