Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Interior has issued a press release announcing that Sheikh Mohammad Qasim Khalid, the deputy minister for counter-narcotics of the ministry, held a meeting with the civilian and military heads of the deputy directorates in the center and provinces.
The purpose of this meeting is to further coordinate the fight against the cultivation, trafficking and consumption of drugs and to review the performance of various units.
During the meeting, the officials present reported on their activities, achievements, and challenges. Mr. Khalid, while evaluating their performance, appreciated the efforts made and discussed practical solutions to remove obstacles and improve the work process.
He emphasized that the officials should increase preventive and field measures and not allow any cultivation, trafficking, or consumption of drugs in the country.
Also, in this meeting, issues such as treating addicts, raising awareness among youth, and combating drug trafficking networks were discussed and necessary decisions were made.
In the end, Sheikh Muhammad Qasim Khalid provided important operational recommendations and guidance to the civilian and military leaders.
It is worth noting that in recent days, the discovery and seizure of drugs and the arrest of drug trafficking gangs in the center and provinces of the country have increased significantly.
