The Italian national team, which started the match against Norway with an early goal by Francesco Pio Esposito, ended up suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium and was sent to the World Cup playoffs.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Sports: The Azzurri started the first half with control of the ball and in the 11th minute, after a mistake by the Norwegian goalkeeper, DiMarco passed the ball to Esposito for the young Inter striker to score his team's first goal. Although Italy created many chances, they failed to increase the difference and the first half ended with a score of 1-0.

The second half was a different story and Norway increased the pressure with its key players, including Erling Haaland and Noosa. In the 63rd minute, the game was tied with a goal by Noosa and six minutes later, Haaland opened the scoring for Donnarumma with a masterful shot to give Norway a 2-1 lead. Haaland scored his team's third goal in the 80th minute, and in extra time, Thorsby set up Strand Larsen with a superb through ball to make it 4-1.

The crushing defeat marked a bitter end to Italy's World Cup qualifying campaign and showed that Gennaro Gattuso's side still have serious problems in tough matches. Norway, on the other hand, are a serious threat to the world's top teams with their dominant display.
