Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Public Works said in a press release today (Tuesday, November 18) that the share of railways in the transport included Hairatan Port with 98,525 tons, Aqineh Port with 12,595 tons, Turghandi Port with 15,341 tons and Khaf-Herat with 9,333 tons, and a total of 135,494 metric tons of goods were imported and exported.
Meanwhile, the export of 588 tons of commercial goods included dried fruits and pomegranate juice. The Ministry of Public Works has emphasized that increasing the level of exports and imports through railways, in addition to creating more job opportunities, will increase national revenues and move towards economic stability, development and self-sufficiency.
The ministry has also announced that it is trying to provide suitable conditions for transfers and create more facilities for traders so that the process of transferring commercial goods through railways continues in a sustainable and rapid manner.
