Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced today that Nooruddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Trade, met with the chairman and members of the Musayad Association and discussed the extensive trade and investment opportunities in Afghanistan.
Introducing the capacities of mines, agriculture, energy, manufacturing industries and transit, the Minister of Industry and Trade emphasized that the Islamic Emirate fully supports the domestic and foreign private sector, especially Turkish investors.
In contrast, the Musayad delegation announced the decision to open an official branch of this association in Afghanistan and announced that member companies are ready to invest and expand trade in the country.
The Turkish side emphasized that Afghanistan is one of the important economic destinations for the Turkish private sector.
Founded in 1990, the Musayad Association is one of the largest economic institutions in Turkey, encompassing thousands of large, medium and small companies, and with active offices in dozens of countries, it plays a key role in the development of Turkey's foreign trade.
Musayad has previously been actively present at international exhibitions in Kabul and has signed several trade agreements with Afghan companies.
According to economic experts, Musayad's official presence in Afghanistan could attract billions of dollars of Turkish investment in the mining, energy and industrial sectors. Observers say that the opening of the Musayad branch in Kabul is the biggest practical step Turkey has taken since the revolution to expand economic relations with the Islamic Emirate and could increase bilateral trade several times over in the next few years.
