Iranian official emphasizes strengthening cultural relations and exchange of experiences between Herat and Khorasan Razavi
Seyed Javad Mousavi, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Khorasan Razavi, Iran, during a visit to historical monuments and art workshops in Herat, appreciated the rich cultural and artistic capacities of this province and emphasized the strengthening of cultural relations, exchange of experiences and implementation of joint programs between Herat and Khorasan Razavi.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Herat: The press office of the Ministry of Information and Culture announced today (Saturday, Nov 29) that Sayed Javad Mousavi, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Khorasan Razavi, Iran, visited the Grand Mosque of Herat, Ekhtiardin Castle, Jihad Museum and the Handicraft Production Center (Dar al-Fonon) in Herat.

During this visit, Mr. Mousavi praised the historical and artistic richness of Herat and emphasized the need to strengthen cultural relations, exchange of experiences and implement joint programs between the two bordering provinces.

He also discussed and exchanged views with officials of the Herat Information and Culture Department regarding expanding cooperation in the field of tourism development and supporting handicrafts.

Meanwhile, a number of officials of Herat tourism companies, in a meeting with the delegation, called for facilitating the process of issuing visas, especially medical and tourist visas for Herat citizens, and emphasized that this measure could greatly contribute to increasing passenger traffic and the prosperity of the tourism industry of both sides.

The Head of Herat Information and Culture, while welcoming the Iranian delegation, stated that the visit of Iranian cultural officials to historical monuments, art workshops, and handicraft exhibitions will pave the way for the design and implementation of joint cultural programs between Herat and Khorasan Razavi.

It is worth noting that a 65-member Iranian delegation led by the Governor of Khorasan Razavi has traveled to Herat province to develop cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, and culture.
