Ukrainian Foreign Minister: We have had a terrifying and bloody night
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha announced that Russian missile and drone strikes last night targeted parts of the capital and several other cities, resulting in the deaths of at least two citizens and the injury of 24 others.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Describing the situation in the capital and other parts of the country last night, this senior Ukrainian official said: "A difficult night passed in Ukraine, especially in Kiev."

According to Sibiha's claim on the X Network (formerly Twitter), "Russia fired dozens of cruise and ballistic missiles and more than 500 drones at ordinary houses, power grids and vital infrastructure. At least 2 people were killed and 24 were injured, including a child."

Referring to US President Donald Trump's recent proposal to stop the war, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister accused Russia of insisting on warmongering. “While everyone is discussing the details of the peace plans, Russia is still pursuing its ‘war plan’ with two goals: to kill and destroy,” he wrote.

He also took a stand against Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s visit to Moscow yesterday and his meeting with the Russian president. Hungary is one of the few European countries that has maintained relations with Russia despite the war in Ukraine and has repeatedly criticized the West’s stance on the war.

“It is remarkable how Putin once again used Viktor Orban as an accomplice in his assassination,” Sibiha said. In 2024, Orban’s visit to Moscow was accompanied by a horrific Russian attack on the Ukrainian children’s hospital in Ukhmatydtyd. This time, the massive Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital came right after Orban’s visit and empty words about “peace.” Putin simply uses such politicians as actors in his bloody show,” the senior Ukrainian diplomat claimed.

“Putin wants to prolong the war at any cost; A war he cannot win and refuses to end. But the international community has the tools to ensure that the cost becomes unbearable for him.”

“We demand greater support for Ukraine’s defense and resilience, stronger sanctions against Russia, and a swift decision to allow full access to Russia’s frozen assets. Strength, unity, and pressure on Moscow remain essential to advance peace efforts and force Russia to end the war,” Sibiha said.
