Trump: Venezuelan airspace closed until further notice

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Donald Trump emphasized in a new tweet that this decision includes all airlines, pilots, as well as drug traffickers and human traffickers. He warned that the airspace over Venezuela and the surrounding territory should be considered completely closed.

 

He wrote in his message: "I am informing all airlines, pilots, drug traffickers and human traffickers: Please note that the airspace over Venezuela and the surrounding territory is completely closed."

 

This decision was made in a situation where relations between Washington and Caracas remain tense and the United States has repeatedly imposed restrictive measures against the Venezuelan government.

 

Venezuelan officials, however, have denied any involvement in drug trafficking and have seen the issue as a pretext for US military intervention. They have warned that they will resist any US aggression.
