Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Hassan Fadlallah, a member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” faction in the Lebanese parliament, emphasized that the resistance “is neither seeking war nor wanting it,” but “will never surrender to the enemy and will not allow Lebanon to surrender under any title, slogan or initiative.”
According to Al-Manar, Fadlallah said in his speech at the commemoration ceremony of martyr Muhammad Youssef Saleh: Is the aim of the presented plans to “sell the country to the Zionist enemy” or “surrender to pressure at the cost of losing sovereignty, freedom, dignity and national resources”?
He emphasized that countries, despite facing pain and challenges, will pass through these stages by maintaining internal cohesion and adopting a national and united stance, and all means of pressure should be used to force the parties guaranteeing the ceasefire agreement to implement it.
He stated that the disruption of the balance of power at the domestic and regional levels "should not lead to the destruction of elements of power in Lebanon so that this country becomes an easy prey for the enemy."
Fadlallah added that talking about the possibility of a new attack by the Zionist regime on Lebanon "is as if there is no attack at the moment," while daily aggressions against Lebanon continue.
He emphasized that the enemy "will never be able to break the will of the people or force them to retreat," because the enemy's real goal is "to prevent residents from returning to border villages."
He added that the enemy's plans have failed because the Zionist regime sought to evacuate and occupy southern Lebanon for Zionist settlements there.
According to Fadlallah, Lebanon has not yet received “any real political proposal to stop the aggression,” and what is being offered is “only the option of complete surrender or the continuation of the killings and attacks.”
He stressed that the enemy “has not taken any steps towards the Lebanese government’s proposals and decisions,” although some of those proposals were also incorrect.
Fadlallah described the current situation as a “new stage” after the ceasefire agreement of November 27, 2024, and said that the resistance has accepted that the government is “the party responsible for implementing the agreement and forcing the enemy to adhere to it.”
He stressed that Hezbollah has not signed any document, but has only adhered to the government’s official decision.
The Lebanese parliamentarian went on to say that there are two paths to stop the aggression and rebuild the affected areas: first, to fulfill the government’s responsibilities and restore trust between the people and the government; second, to implement all possible measures to rebuild and return families to their villages in southern Lebanon.
Fadlallah stressed the need for the government to uphold its responsibilities and, referring to some statements “mixed with rancor and hatred,” said: “The government’s official position in affirming that the Zionist regime has “violated the ceasefire agreement” and that Lebanon has adhered to it is a positive position.”
He warned that there is a “political minority” that repeats the enemy’s narrative and pursues its own domestic interests by inciting the Zionist regime to continue its aggression.
He emphasized that support for the resistance in Lebanon “is not limited to Shiite Muslims,” but also extends among groups from other tribes, and that the resistance has allies and friends who are loyal to it.
