Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Herat: This simulation meeting was launched by students of law and political science at Ghalib University and provided a practical opportunity for them to experience their theoretical learning. Rafiullah Azimi, one of the organizers of the program, described the meeting as a platform for strengthening the students’ practical and applied abilities.
Rahmatullah Faizan, deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Office in Herat, said: “Students do not only receive theoretical training, but also learn how to implement their knowledge in real meetings; this experience will make them more prepared to attend international meetings.”
The presence of diplomats, including the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Tezcan Gazioglu, and the Deputy Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Seyed Ali Kamyab, brought the atmosphere of the program closer to the realities of diplomacy. The Consul General of Turkey said: “Interaction in today’s world is a necessity, and the Turkish government supports any effort to facilitate Afghanistan’s communications with the world.”
Dr. Kamyab also assessed the simulation program as successful, adding: “Managing issues such as migration, border cooperation, economic relations, the issue of water, and the fight against drugs is not possible without continuous dialogue and constructive interaction.”
In the academic section, Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Vahidi, a professor at Ghalib University, considered Afghanistan’s interaction with the world to be based on “Islamic values,” “national interests,” and “the country’s capabilities,” and emphasized formulating a long-term foreign policy strategy, strengthening economic and cultural diplomacy, promoting good governance, and creating internal integration.
At the end of the program, plaques of appreciation were presented to representatives of the Turkish and Iranian consulates, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Chairman of the Herat Council of Experts.
