Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to the official Pakistan News Agency (APP), Islamabad once again expressed its full solidarity with the Palestinian people on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on November 29.
In a statement on the occasion, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the Palestinian people have suffered “one of the most devastating tragedies of our time”; a people who have been deprived of the right to self-determination, their land has been confiscated and their peace has been destroyed.
The Pakistani official called for a complete end to the Israeli occupation (regime) in all occupied territories, including Gaza, and emphasized that Tel Aviv must be held accountable for war crimes and genocide of Palestinians, in accordance with international law.
Sharif also called for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied Palestinian territories, including Gaza, and stressed that the Palestinian people deserve lasting peace and prosperity.
In a message on the occasion, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari said: Islamabad will continue to provide political, diplomatic, humanitarian and moral support to the Palestinian people.
He stressed: We reiterate our support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the pre-June 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Pakistani President stressed that Islamabad's support for Palestine is based on the universal principles of human dignity, justice and fairness, and that his country stands "resolutely" with the Palestinian people.
These statements come at a time when, according to reports, since October 2023, the Zionist regime's attacks on Gaza have claimed the lives of nearly 70,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured more than 170,000.
In the silence of the international community and the inaction of Islamic-Arab countries, the United States and the Zionist regime are implementing new plans every day to restrict Palestinian rights, the latest example of which is US President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza.
