Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Fifth Technology Exhibition today (Sunday, Nov 30) was held at Bakhtar University in Kabul with the presence of officials and representatives of the Ministries of Communications and Information Technology, Higher Education, private companies, the university leadership board, professors and students.
Jalaluddin Shams, spokesman for the ATRA, pointed to the challenges and economic problems and said that despite these obstacles, Afghanistan has made significant progress in the technical, telecommunications and service fields in recent years.
He added that Afghan experts and technical forces have been able to launch diverse and useful services within the country through their efforts and innovation, which have been made available to citizens.
Khalilur Rahman Kabirzoi, head of cybersecurity at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, said at the exhibition that with the increased use of technology in the country, especially in technical systems and projects, the need to pay more attention to developing domestic capacities and reducing dependence on foreign projects has become more prominent than in the past.
Kabirzoi stated that a number of these projects are of particular importance due to security considerations and sensitivities related to information and data, and their proper and safe use is a fundamental necessity.
Professor Idris Tabassum, the vice-chancellor of Bakhtar University, also emphasized that “small achievements pave the way for great successes,” and said that the country’s youth have proven their commitment and technological capabilities through innovation and creativity.
Nazifullah Shirzai stated that the purpose of holding this exhibition is to create a vision and motivation among students and youth, adding that about twenty projects were presented at the fifth technology exhibition.
According to Shirzai, the projects are categorized into two sections: advanced projects at the regional level and basic projects. He explained that these projects include dental disease diagnosis, cybersecurity, air temperature control system, water drip system, and traffic system.
Farmanullah Seydi, one of the owners of the exhibition projects, said that very useful projects were presented at this event, and one of the most important of them is the air temperature control system.
Mohammad Bahir Mahboob, another project presenter, called on the government to increase the number of such exhibitions and provide opportunities for the expansion of such activities.
It is worth noting that in this exhibition, students and creative youth showcased their innovative projects in the field of technology, including robots, artificial intelligence, and other scientific innovations.
