Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Israeli Army Radio reported today the discovery of four bodies in Rafah, which are likely to belong to fighters who were trapped in the area.
Shortly after the news was published, the radio quoted an Israeli security source as claiming: “We have killed all the commanders trapped in Rafah.”
He explained: “Initial estimates indicate that the bodies found by the army today probably belong to the commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades in the Jenin neighborhood and his deputy.”
Since the ceasefire in Gaza, due to the intensification of the siege of the tunnels in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, a number of Kataib al-Qassam Brigades forces have been trapped in the tunnels of the city. The Israeli army claims to have martyred dozens of them and emphasizes the need for them to surrender. However, Kataib al-Qassam insists that it will not surrender and that Israel will bear responsibility for any clashes in these areas.
Meanwhile, since Sunday morning, Israeli forces have carried out several heavy airstrikes, accompanied by explosions and the destruction of buildings in areas under its control in the cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to Al-Arabi TV reporter Ahmed al-Bata, the eastern part of Khan Yunis was targeted by heavy artillery fire this morning, and columns of smoke were also seen from the northern areas of Rafah, which is believed to be caused by the destruction of houses.
