Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: On Sunday, the Israeli Foreign Ministry published statistics on the number of Jews in Arab countries on the Arabic page of the social network "X", which aimed to compare the past and present situation of Jewish communities in the region.
In this Arabic post, it was claimed that "most Jews in Arab countries have roots in the Arabian Peninsula for more than a thousand years," but now only a few of them remain.
Based on the same statistics:
Iraq: Of the 135,000 Jews before 1948, less than 10 remain today.
Libya: Of the 38,000, there are no Jews left today.
Morocco: Of the 265,000, only 2,150 remain.
Yemen: Out of 63,000, only 50 remain.
Egypt: Out of 75,000, only 100 remain.
Algeria: Out of 140,000, only 200 remain.
Lebanon: Out of 6,000, only 50 remain.
Syria: Out of 30,000, only 10 remain.
Tunisia: Out of 105,000, only 1,500 remain.
According to Fars, but in the English version of the same ministry, the figures are presented significantly differently:
Egypt: Out of 100,000 Jews, only 3 remain today.
Algeria: Out of 140,000, only 50 remain.
Lebanon: Out of 7,000, only 20 remain.
Syria: Out of 30,000, only 3 remain today.
Iraq: Out of 135,000, only 4 remain.
Yemen: Only 5 out of 60,000 remain.
The publication of contradictory statistics by the Israeli Foreign Ministry regarding the Jewish population in Arab countries has raised serious questions about the accuracy and purpose of these data. These contradictions not only question the credibility of official Israeli narratives, but also indicate political exploitation of the issue of the Jewish population in the region.
