Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Amnesty International announced that the recent ceasefire in Gaza is only a “hoax” and does not mean a change in Israel’s approach towards the Palestinians or an improvement in their living conditions.
According to the report of this human rights organization, the Israeli authorities continue to impose severe restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid and essential services.
Palestinians in Gaza are deprived of access to basic needs such as food, drinking water, shelter and health services; a situation that has increased the risk of a slow death.
The organization also noted the continued massive displacement of Palestinians and Israeli control over more than half of the Gaza Strip, while access to the sea and agricultural lands remains blocked.
Amnesty International criticized the international community, saying there was no serious commitment to guarantee human rights or accountability for crimes committed, and that global pressure was waning.
Finally, the organization called for an immediate lifting of the blockade, full access to humanitarian aid, and an end to all genocidal crimes against Palestinians.
