Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock announced today (Wednesday, December 3) in a press release that the Uzbek delegation led by Jamshid Abduzhakrov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, which traveled to Afghanistan accompanied by representatives of the private sector and government officials, signed several trade agreements with agricultural entrepreneurs and the private sector at the end of their working meetings.

These agreements were signed in the presence of government officials from both countries and their main focus is on developing cooperation in the field of food exports and imports, including vegetables, meat and other food products.

Based on the provisions of these agreements, the parties committed to continue their trade cooperation on a broad scale in accordance with the principles and regulations governing both countries and to strengthen the process of sending and receiving export and import products.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has recently provided a trial permit for the export of livestock meat from state and private slaughterhouses abroad; which will create new grounds for the growth of trade and investment in the livestock sector.

These contracts are considered an important step towards expanding economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan and providing more opportunities for the private sectors of both countries.
