Afghanistan's Abdul Latif Mansour said on Wednesday that Islamabad is trying to fulfill its demands in Afghanistan and reopen trade routes, sometimes through the United Nations and sometimes through Islamic countries and personalities.
The Minister of Energy and Water added that the Pakistani government has been acting against the principles of international trade with Afghanistan for years and has closed its doors to Afghan businessmen at the right times, causing huge economic losses to the country.
Mr. Mansoor, while supporting the demand of many Afghan businessmen to keep the doors closed to Pakistan, stressed that reciprocity should be given so that Pakistan would also "taste the loss".
It is worth mentioning that after several military clashes between the Islamic Emirate and Pakistan, the transit crossings for all kinds of exports and imports between the two countries have been closed. Earlier, Pakistani media reported that prices of Afghan products had risen in their markets.
