Food prices increase by 2.3 percent in November; Afghani value strengthened by 1.8 percent
The National Statistics and Information Administration announced that in November of this year, food prices increased by an average of 2.3 percent and the general index of consumer goods and services increased by 1.6 percent.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to the agency's press release published today, Saturday, December 15, the most important factors for the increase in food prices are:

1.3 percent increase in the price of various cereals
1.6 percent increase in the price of meat
10.3 percent increase in the price of various fruits
2.1 percent increase in the price of various vegetables

Also, the price of non-food items increased by 1.2 percent, which is mainly due to a 3.5 percent increase in the housing index and a 13.9 percent increase in the health and medical services index.

The National Statistics and Information Administration emphasized that point-to-point inflation (comparing November 1404 with November last year) was 8.5 percent.

In terms of the value of the national currency, the Afghani exchange rate reached 66.6 Afghanis per dollar in November, which is 0.4 percent stronger than in November (66.8 Afghanis). Also, compared to November last year, the Afghani has increased by 1.8 percent against the US dollar.
