Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced that Donald Trump's idea to create an independent council called the "Gaza Peace Council" is contrary to the UN Charter and that the Palestinian Authority is not included in the plan.
Previously, France had also announced that the charter of the Gaza Peace Council contradicts the international regulations of the UN. The signing ceremony of the charter of the council was held in Davos, Switzerland on Thursday, and the attendance of representatives of less than 20 countries, mainly from West Asia and South America, was limited.
Sanchez emphasized the necessity of a two-state solution for Palestine and stated that the future of the country must be determined entirely by the Palestinians themselves. He added that Spain will continue to send humanitarian aid for the reconstruction of Palestine and to strengthen stability in the region.
