Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced on Friday in an interview with Sky News that his country opposes any military action against Iran and emphasized the need to resolve Iran's nuclear disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
Referring to the oppressive sanctions against Iran, he said: "We emphasize the need to resolve nuclear disputes without losing opportunities."
Fidan emphasized: "We oppose the attacks that occurred during the 12-day war against Iran and call for resolving the problems through dialogue and we will continue our diplomatic efforts to prevent war."
In another part of his speech, the Turkish Foreign Minister announced the possibility of his country's participation in the peacekeeping force in the Gaza Strip, adding: "Despite the strong opposition of the Israeli regime, Turkey's participation in this force is possible, but it requires an agreement on the countries that will participate in it."
He added: "Turkey has previously announced its readiness to participate in the Trump peace plan in the Gaza Strip and continues to adhere to this. Just as we are a member of the Gaza Peace Council and participate in its executive committee and provide extensive humanitarian aid, there is also the possibility of sending troops to this region."
Fidan continued to emphasize that sending military forces to the Gaza Strip will only be possible if there is dialogue and agreement with specific countries, and the situation in the region must be carefully examined. He also said: "The US president is the only one who can put pressure on the Israeli regime to stop the crimes."
According to IRNA, the signing ceremony of the Trump Peace Council Charter on Gaza was held in Davos on Thursday, and about 60 countries have been invited to join the council, but so far only a number of Washington's Western allies have publicly accepted.
Among the countries that have announced their participation are Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Argentina, Egypt, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
According to recent reports, Turkey has been holding talks with regional countries in recent weeks to establish a peace mechanism in Gaza, and it is possible that a peacekeeping force will be formed with the participation of several regional and Western countries. Experts believe that Turkey's role could simultaneously include political mediation and humanitarian aid management.
