America should end provocative actions; we have no hesitation in defending
Masoud Pazeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said in a conversation between the leaders of Qatar and Pakistan: If America is seeking diplomacy, it should end provocative actions.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: According to Iranian media reports, Massoud Pazeshkian exchanged views on the latest developments in the region in the wake of the US's tension-creating and destabilizing actions in separate telephone conversations on Thursday evening.

According to Tasnim, Pazeshkian expressed his gratitude for the constant support of Qatar and Pakistan, and expressed his hope that unity, solidarity, and cooperation among Islamic countries would be further strengthened and deepened.

Emphasizing the Islamic Republic of Iran’s principled approach to supporting dignified diplomacy based on international law, an equal stance, avoiding threats and coercion, and pursuing win-win outcomes, the Iranian President stated: “If the American side is truly seeking real negotiations and diplomacy, it must stop such provocative and tension-provoking actions and prove its commitment to the path of dialogue in practice.”

According to the report, Pazeshkian emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never initiated war and does not welcome conflict, and noted: “We believe that war and conflict are not in the interest of any party and we emphasize the path of engagement and diplomacy; however, we will not allow ourselves to be threatened or attacked during negotiations, as in past experiences, and we will defend our country and people with authority.”

It is said that in these telephone conversations, the Emir of Qatar and the Prime Minister of Pakistan also emphasized the rejection and firm opposition to any action against the security, independence and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran, whether war, sanctions or political interventions, and announced the principled and permanent position of their respective countries in supporting and declaring solidarity with the government and people of Iran.

The Emir of Qatar and the Prime Minister of Pakistan also pointed out the need to continue diplomatic efforts to create a basis for dialogue, interaction and resolving issues through political and diplomatic methods, and stressed that any tension and conflict could plunge the region into a cycle of widespread violence and instability, which would have disastrous consequences for all countries in the region.

The report added that Sheikh Tamim and Shahbaz Sharif, praising the principled, logical and responsible approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran in choosing the path of dialogue, interaction and diplomacy, emphasized the continuation of efforts to achieve effective initiatives in order to create sustainable solutions to resolve issues.
