Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mashhad: Hojjat-ul-Islam and Muslim Sayed Isa Hosseini Mazari, head of the Center for Cultural and Social Activities of Tebyan Afghanistan, at the conference "Defending the Guardianship; From Bravery to Martyrdom" in the holy city of Mashhad, emphasizing the importance of supporting the position of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and practical obedience to the Supreme Leader, considering defending the guardianship a religious and historical duty and saying: "We will support the guardianship and the Leader of the Revolution until the end of martyrdom." He also referred to the role of Martyr Misbah Mazari, introducing him as a pioneer in explaining the idea of guardianship of the jurist and a symbol of jihad and unity in Afghanistan. From Bravery to Martyrdom” held by the center’s representative office in the holy city of Mashhad, emphasizing the fundamental position of the state in the Islamic intellectual system, he considered defending the great position of the state and the Islamic Republic’s system a religious, ideological, and historical duty.
This conference was held on the occasion of comprehensive support for the leadership of the Islamic Revolution against Donald Trump’s recent attacks, as well as commemorating the 31st anniversary of the unjust martyrdom of martyr Misbah Mazari and eight of his companions at the hands of the Hypocrites, as well as commemorating the martyrs of the January 18 and 19 incidents in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Appreciation of scholars, mujahideen, and members of the media
At the beginning of his speech, the head of the Tabyan Center cited the noble verse “O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you,” and considered the presence of various segments of the people and scientific, jihadi, cultural, and media figures in this ceremony a source of honor. He particularly praised the presence of Ayatollah Alavi Nejad as a prominent scholar and jurist, seminary professor, foreign studies instructor, writer, poet, researcher, and Muslim mujtahid, calling him one of the valuable resources of the Afghan people.
Referring to the scholarly and social role of this seminary professor, Hosseini Mazari expressed hope that in the near future, his scholarly works and jurisprudential treatise would be published and used by the community. He also appreciated other jihadi, intellectual, and cultural figures present at the conference, including veteran figures of jihad, officials of cultural and media movements, colleagues dispatched from Tehran and Qom, as well as media representatives, especially Tamadon and Sahar TVs, and considered their presence a sign of the importance of the issue of wilaya.
Defending wilaya; From God to the Islamic System
The head of the Center for Social and Cultural Activities of Tebyan clarified in explaining the purpose of holding this conference: The conference "Defending the Guardianship" means defending the guardianship of God, the guardianship of the Quran, the guardianship of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), the guardianship of the Commander of the Faithful Ali (AS) and his descendants, the guardianship of Imam Reza (AS), the guardianship of the Imam of the Time (PBUH), and ultimately defending the guardianship of His Majesty's deputy, the Supreme Leader, His Holiness Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei (May Allah protect him).
He emphasized the indissoluble link between guardianship and the Islamic system and added: Defending the guardianship is in fact defending the sacred system of the Islamic Republic; a system that is the essence of the will of the prophets, the result of the drops of blood of the infallible Imams (AS), the fruit of the continuous guidance of the Imam of the Age (PBUH), and the achievement of the struggle and sacrifice of the great martyrs of Islam, the martyrs of Iran, and the martyrs of the axis of resistance.
Presence on the scene; A Duty to the Verge of Martyrdom
Hosseini Mazari, referring to the importance and status of this Islamic system, noted: Such a system has the undisputed right for the people and elites to spend time defending it, to be actively present on the scene, and to support the Leader, the Guardian, and the Islamic system with courage and bravery in various fields; a support that must continue even to the point of martyrdom.
Shabaniyah Festivals; An Opportunity to Deepen Religious Knowledge
Pointing to the coincidence of this conference with the Shabaniyah Festivals, he mentioned the births of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (AS), and Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS), and pointing to the approaching birth of Hazrat Wali al-Asr (AS), he expressed hope that the believers would celebrate this occasion with great pomp by declaring their readiness.
The head of the Tabyan Center emphasized the importance of celebrating these holidays and stated: The infallible Imams (AS) do not need our celebration, mourning, or praise, and their status is neither raised by our praise nor lowered by others' slander. Rather, it is the believers themselves who benefit from holding these gatherings, provided that these gatherings are a platform for explaining religious teachings and gaining a deeper understanding of the infallible Imams (AS).
From Love to Affection; From Explanation to Defense
Hosseini Mazari, distinguishing between "love" and "affection" towards the infallible Imams (AS), said: Love is a state of the heart, but affection, in addition to loving the heart, compels a person to act. He emphasized that knowing God, religion, and the Imams (AS) naturally increases love, and this love is complete when it leads to affection, action, explanation, obedience, and ultimately defense.
He added: Explanation without action is not fruitful, and after explanation, obedience is necessary, because true obedience naturally follows defense, and a subordinate person becomes a defender of values and guardianship in various fields.
Obedience to the Supreme Leader; a practical manifestation of guardianship
Continuing his speech, Hosseini Mazari considered one of the most important areas of religious practice to be practical obedience to the idea of guardianship, and especially following the Supreme Leader, and emphasized that the true measurement of guardianship is realized in the field of action and obedience to the leadership.
He added: If in religious gatherings and gatherings, correct knowledge of the infallible Imams (AS) and the thought of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) is achieved and a person is placed on the path of guardianship, the natural result will be obedience to the thought of the guardianship of the Faqih and ultimately practical obedience to the Wali Faqih. According to him, obedience to the leadership of the Islamic system is the criterion for measuring the truth or falsehood of the guardianship of individuals.
The Guardianship of the Faqih; Beyond Marja’iyyah and Taqlid
Hosseini Mazari emphasized that the guardianship of the jurist is an inseparable part of the Shiite religion and stated: “Anyone who considers himself a Shiite but does not accept the guardianship of the jurist is not in fact within the framework of Shiism.” Referring to the different views on the absolute and non-absolute guardianship of the jurist, he added: “The principle of the guardianship of the jurist is generally accepted by both Shiites and Sunnis, because this guardianship is considered the guardianship of God, the Quran, and the Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
The head of the Tabyan Center clarified: The discussion of following the guardianship of the jurist has nothing to do with which Marja’i is the person being imitated. The guardianship of the jurist is beyond the juristship of the jurist and the discussion of taqlid, and a person may be an imitator of any of the great Marja’i, but at the same time, be present on the path of following the guardianship of the jurist in a serious and practical way.
Defense after obedience; The line of distinction with arrogance
He continued, considering defending the Supreme Leader as the next stage after obedience and referring to the current conditions of the world, said: Today, the world of arrogance has lined up with all its might and focus against the idea of the Guardianship of the Jurisprudence. According to him, if the issue of jurisprudence, guardianship of the affairs, and the Supreme Leader were not at issue, arrogance would not have been sensitive to Islam and Shiism; as today, there are people among the Shiites who move in line with the goals of the arrogant and even stand against the Islamic system.
Hosseini Mazari emphasized: What is important for the arrogance front is Islam and Shiism with a governmental and political perspective, not Islam and Shiism that are merely slogans and individuals.
Criticism of religiosity without a government perspective
The head of the Tebyan Center criticized religiosity without a social and government perspective and stated: A Shiite who is content with only holding festivals, mourning ceremonies, crying, beating his chest, giving charity, and spending money, but does not have a government perspective and is not "strong" towards infidels and "compassionate" towards insiders, is neither a true Shiite nor, if he is a Sunni, is he considered a true Sunni.
He added: Such an approach not only does not help Islam, but also, whether he wants it or not, he is on the path of global arrogance; whether consciously or unconsciously.
Ignorance; the factor of falling into the enemy's path
At the end of this part of his speech, Hosseini Mazari clarified by distinguishing between consciousness and ignorance: Not all people who are on such a path are necessarily conscious agents of the enemy. Many of them act out of ignorance and think that this method is true Islam or true Shiism, while the lack of a vision of the state and government unintentionally puts them on a path that is contrary to the goals of Islam.
Guardianship of the Jurisprudence; the axis of pure Islam and the line of confrontation with arrogance
Continuing his speech at the conference "Defending the Guardianship; From Bravery to Martyrdom" by explaining the nature of Islam that is disputed by the ruling system, he emphasized that the idea of Guardianship of the Jurisprudence is at the center of pure Islam, and this issue is the main reason for the arrogance's hostility towards the Islamic Revolution and the movements aligned with it.
The head of the Center for Social and Cultural Activities of Tebyan stated that the idea of the guardianship of the jurist is at the center of authentic Islam, and he clarified: The line of the Quran, the line of the divine prophets, the line of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), the line of the infallible Imams (AS), and the line of the Imam of the Time (PBUH), all find meaning in the continuation of the guardianship of the jurist, and this line and policy have made the global arrogance extremely worried and dissatisfied.
He added: The arrogance knows very well that this Islam is not an Islam that comes to terms with excess, oppression, and tyranny, but rather an Islam that stands against hegemony and expansionism and does not allow violations of the rights of nations.
The continuation of the Islamic Revolution; Four decades of resistance to domination
Referring to the history of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Hosseini Mazari noted: The revolution that achieved victory under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA) has been continuing with power for nearly 47 or 48 years and has stood against the excesses of arrogance and the enemies of religion and school since the first days of its formation.
He added: All personalities, movements and groups that are today in harmony with this revolution or are subordinate to the thinking of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the great position of the guardianship of Imam Khamenei, have a similar nature to this revolution and for this reason, they have all been exposed to the hatred and wrath of arrogance.
The global scope of the confrontation; from the West to the Islamic world
Referring to the global scope of this confrontation, the head of the Tebyan Center stated: This hostility is not limited to a specific geography and whether these movements are in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kashmir, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen or even in America and Europe, they are targeted. Referring to the martyrdom of a cleric in a European country in recent years, he said: "The reason for such crimes is the resistance to the idea of the original religion and Muhammadan Islam."
The duty to defend the province; ensuring honor and authority
Hosseini Mazari emphasized the public duty to defend this school and stated: "We are obliged to defend such Islam, such school and such province; because this province prevents the rights of nations from being swallowed by arrogance and does not allow our rights to be swallowed by the throat of the dominating system."
Obedience to the Supreme Leader; the path to individual and social dignity
The head of the Center for Cultural and Social Activities in Tebyan emphasized: If we want to live with dignity, authority, and pride, and to hold our heads high and live with greatness while we are in this world, we have no choice but to be on this path and obey the Supreme Leader; obedience that must be accompanied by practical defense and support.
Decisive defense against attacks on the position of the leader
Referring to Donald Trump's recent insults against Imam Khamenei, Hosseini Mazari stated: Defending Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei (may Allah protect him) against these attacks is a definite duty, and we will stand firmly against Trump and all factors and trends aligned with him, both globally and domestically.
He added: This resistance will continue with bravery, valor, and courage, and as long as we are alive, we will carry out our duty; a path that will ultimately, if God wills, be martyrdom in the defense of the province.
Defending the province; a vital and strategic issue
The head of the Tebyan Center emphasized at the end of this part of his speech: From here, the very serious and strategic importance of defending the province becomes clear; an issue that is not only an individual choice, but also a historical and fateful task for the Islamic society.
Martyr Misbah; the true pioneer of provincehood in Afghanistan
Hosseini Mazari continued the conference by explaining the position of Martyr Misbah Mazari in the system of provincial struggles, emphasizing that the jihadi and intellectual path of this martyr was completely formed in line with the idea of the provincehood and its practical defense.
The head of the Center for Social and Cultural Activities of Tebyan stated that Martyr Misbah Mazari began his struggle exactly in this direction, and stated: Martyr Misbah was the first figure in Afghanistan who propagated and explained the idea of the Guardianship of the Jurisprudence in a real and practical way. He himself initially followed this idea and then founded a movement that became known as the “Fadayeen Islam” organization; a movement that moved on this basis and trained students who all believed in this line.
Referring to his personal relationship with this martyr, he said: I was also one of the very small students of Martyr Misbah and today I still consider myself small. This meeting is also attended by elders who had the honor of being a student of this martyr, and among them is His Eminence Ayatollah Alavi Nejad, who is considered a close friend of Martyr Misbah and has a deeper understanding of his personality.
A personality beyond usual descriptions
Hosseini Mazari, emphasizing the greatness of the personality of Martyr Misbah, added: There is much to say about the characteristics, characteristics and dimensions of the personality of this great martyr, but little time. He referred to the speech of Hojjat-ul-Islam Alemi in Kabul and said: He introduced Martyr Misbah as the founder of jihad throughout Afghanistan, while previously it was thought that this role was limited to northern Afghanistan; descriptions that were new even to me, despite more than 13 years of accompanying and studying Martyr Misbah.
He also referred to the speeches of other personalities present, including Ayatollah Alavi Nejad, and stated that the explanation of the dimensions of the personality of this martyr from the words of his close companions is more eloquent and accurate.
Jihad in Afghanistan; Practical Defense of the Guardianship of the Jurist
The head of the Tebyan Center, referring to the entry of Martyr Misbah into the arena of jihad in Afghanistan, stated: This great figure appeared in the Afghan struggle scene to defend the line of guardianship and as a true guardian, a follower of Imam Khomeini (RA) and a pure follower of the Guardianship of the Jurist, and played a serious role.
He added: Martyr Misbah's slogan in the field of guardianship of the Jurist was not a superficial slogan or merely propaganda, but was formed based on the real goals of the idea of guardianship of the Jurist; including preparing the ground for the Islamic government, fighting poverty, injustice, disagreement, embezzlement, oppression and tyranny. According to him, Martyr Misbah acted precisely to achieve these goals.
Demarcation by Misusing the Guardianship Slogan
Emphasizing the difference between Martyr Misbah's approach and deviant currents, Hosseini Mazari stated: Martyr Misbah never used the slogan of guardianship of the Jurist to eliminate rivals, assassinate, destroy people's homes, or create disasters in the Shiite and Sunni communities of Afghanistan. Not only did he not abuse this slogan, but he also used it as a practical path to realize religious values.
He added: Martyr Misbah's performance was in line with the realization of brotherhood, equality, peace, brotherhood, love and affection, and this approach was considered the main indicator of his political and social behavior.
Unity of Shiites and Sunnis; the fruit of Martyr Misbah's provincial thought
Referring to Martyr Misbah's unifying approach, the head of the Tebyan Center said: This great martyr not only had good and good relations with Shiite movements, but also had established close and continuous ties with Sunni movements. He mentioned Martyr Misbah's connection with figures such as Martyr Zabihullah and other Sunni leaders and emphasized that this unifying thought paved the way for the formation of the "Northern Unity Front" between Shiites and Sunnis.
According to him, this front was formed with more than two thousand troops and under the command of one of the prominent commanders, Sheikh Baqir Soltani; A commander who is currently alive and present in the holy city of Mashhad.
Playing a role in the United Front of the Islamic Revolution of Afghanistan
Hosseini Mazari also considered Martyr Misbah as a pioneer in establishing the "United Front of the Islamic Revolution of Afghanistan" and said: The goal of this front was to bring together all Shiite parties in a single framework. Although due to fundamental differences between some movements, including the Nasr Organization and the Islamic Movement, it was not possible to achieve complete unity, other revolutionary organizations were able to work together within the framework of this front.
Defending the province; from individual sacrifice to organizational cohesion
In the final part of his speech at the conference "Defending the province; from bravery to martyrdom", Hosseini Mazari emphasized the need to move beyond slogans and move towards practical action, considering defending the province as something that will not be achieved without organization, cohesion, and organization.
The head of the Tebyan Center for Cultural and Social Activities emphasized: Defending the province is so important that a person must sacrifice his life in this path, but achieving this great goal is not possible without formation and organization. He emphasized that those who are not members of a specific organization should try to integrate themselves within the framework of Islamic and revolutionary organizations.
He added: Without presence in the organization, without organization, without cohesion and unity, it is not possible to move individually on the path of divine sovereignty or to prepare the grounds for establishing divine rule in Afghanistan, Iran or any other place. According to him, if support for the Supreme Leader and the Islamic system remains merely a slogan and individual life, it is an unrealistic slogan and one cannot stand against global arrogance with slogans and lies.
Tebyan Center; Practical Framework for Supporting the Guardianship of the Jurisprudence
Referring to the organizational role of the Tebyan Center for Cultural and Social Activities, Hosseini Mazari stated: Tebyan Center, as one of the revolutionary organizations following the idea of the Guardianship of the Jurisprudence, is present in Afghanistan, Iran and other countries today and can be a practical platform for realizing the goals of this idea.
He called on the revolutionary forces to have an active and serious presence within the framework of this organization in order to support the Tebyan Center and act in accordance with its policies. The head of the Tebyan Center emphasized: "Deserving individuals should be introduced in the cultural, political, and economic spheres, and everyone should play a role according to their ability; those who have cultural or political ability should be active in that field, and those who have financial ability should provide the basis for realizing the goals of the idea of Velayat al-Faqih by providing economic support to the organization."
Recent security incidents and the need for organizational readiness
Hosseini Mazari continued, referring to recent developments and tensions in Iran and threats to political and Islamic centers in Afghanistan, and reported a security incident against the Tebyan Center office. He said: "On the nights of the 18th and 19th, following the controversies that occurred in the region, there was a serious threat to the center's office, and attackers were about to enter the building and set it on fire."
He added: "Some people first entered the building opposite the office, set it on fire, and then moved toward the Tebyan Center office." According to him, despite the attackers' efforts, the windows of the office's kitchen were broken, but by God's grace, they were unable to enter the building. Hosseini Mazari emphasized that if the attackers had succeeded in entering, the incident would definitely not have ended without serious casualties and damage, although security and protection forces were present at the scene.
Formation of a cohesive force to defend Islamic centers
The head of the Tebyan Center, referring to the future decisions of this group, announced: In order to prevent similar incidents, it has been planned to organize a set of cohesive forces, under the title of "Basij" or similar titles, in groups of one hundred, two hundred, five hundred or even a thousand people, so that in the event of any possible threat, they can defend and support Afghan and Islamic centers.
In conclusion, he called on all faithful forces, especially the youth, to contact the relevant official to register in this new group that will be established in the Mashhad office so that the process of organizing and integrating the forces can be carried out in the coming days and, in times of need, these forces can take action with a quick call to defend and protect related offices and centers.
