Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, who was on a one-day trip to Istanbul yesterday (Friday), on a pre-arranged trip to meet and talk with Turkish officials, referred to Iran-Turkey relations in an interview with CNN Turk, saying that Iran-Turkey relations are strong and constructive, and the two countries are continuously exchanging views.
The head of Iran's diplomatic service also noted that there is currently no serious basis for negotiations with the United States.
For fruitful negotiations, the atmosphere of threat and pressure must be eliminated
Araqi clarified: For real and fruitful negotiations, the atmosphere of threat and pressure must first be eliminated, and without an agreement on the framework, content, and rules of negotiations, no progress will be made.
In this interview, he stated that the United States often tries to establish contact with Iran through third countries, and added: Iran is ready for fair and balanced diplomacy, but negotiations cannot be carried out in an imposed manner, and without mutual respect and equal conditions, a fair agreement will not be formed.
Araqchi also clearly stated that if an attack occurs, our response will be tough and very powerful, and added: We have the capacity to defend ourselves and do not need anyone.
In this interview, he also reminded that Iran's priority is still diplomacy and we hope that rationality and dialogue will prevail.
