Saudi official: Axios
A source in the Saudi Arabian government denied the claim of the American Axios base regarding the anti-Iranian positions of the Saudi Defense Minister during his visit to the United States.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: A high-ranking Saudi official emphasized in an interview with the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the news published by the Axios base regarding the statements of the Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman regarding the developments in the region is not true.

He added that the Saudi position on this matter is consistent. Riyadh supports the ongoing efforts to achieve a peaceful solution to all disputed issues between the United States and Iran through dialogue and diplomatic means in order to reduce tensions and strengthen regional security and stability.

The source stated: Saudi Arabia is categorically opposed to the use of its airspace or land for any military action against Iran. Riyadh adheres to the policy of avoiding tensions and moving towards political solutions.

The Saudi source's remarks came after Axios claimed that the Saudi defense minister had made anti-Iranian remarks during a meeting in the United States.

The source said that this claim does not reflect the official position of Saudi Arabia. Riyadh has repeatedly stressed in its public calls to respect Iran's sovereignty and not to engage in any military action that would have dangerous regional consequences. The country continues to work with its regional and international partners to pursue diplomatic solutions and warns that any new military confrontation in the region has heavy costs for all parties. Military solutions to regional crises are not sustainable and these crises can only be resolved through political agreements and adherence to international law.
